While Jackson Wells doesn't chase awards, we appreciate it when a kind note comes
our way from a happy client or professional colleague, especially if unsolicited.

I take this opportunity to state that it has been an absolute pleasure to work with an organisation as professional as Jackson Wells Morris. You are to be congratulated. The Association has benefited greatly from your work on the [fringe benefits tax] campaign even though we are yet to achieve the required policy change.

May I say how much we valued the assistance of your expert team in the successful public launch of the Australian Innovation Association. Their analysis of the issues and their planning and execution of the event were of the very high standard one has come to expect of Jackson Wells Morris. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I would certainly continue to recommend JWM as a highly professional and effective organisation.

I have known Keith Jackson for many years, stemming back to the days when he was the '8 cents a day' man at the ABC. I first got to know his partner John Wells just before the formation of Jackson Wells Communications, which seems like only yesterday. This political "odd couple" had a clear vision for where they wanted to go and have grown the company into a highly successful shop with a reputation for delivering top results for their clients. This has been achieved with integrity and without compromising the principles upon which the company was initially based. Both Jackson and Wells are responsive to client needs, they are strategic and creative, and more importantly they stick to budget.

Austrade had an export assistance program that was not receiving the support that was hoped. This was aggravated by a lack of dollars available to publicise the program. Jackson Wells' team, small as they were at the time, came to our aid and provided us with the assistance that launched the Austrade loans program into the public arena and made it one of the most successful export support schemes of recent years.

They're good. Very good. So good, in fact, I'm very careful I don't recommend them to someone who doesn't deserve them. Cost? Yes, of course there's a cost. But the price is soon forgotten; the quality never! Their product is the very best. Why is this so? It is because Keith Jackson and John Wells communicate. They are always on top of what has just been said to me as the client. No sooner have I said something to either of them, the other knows. They listen to me and to each other. Neither of them is ever afraid to denounce a notion as bullshit or to advance an idea as the way to go forward. And when the way forward has been decided they make you stick to it - to the letter. But above all Keith and John are very caring people. Not only did they get John Flynn out of jail in India - they saved his life.

Jackson Wells Morris couldn't possible have had a tougher client than the Foundation, dedicated as we are to bringing biological understanding to the human condition - the subject where science and religion overlap. The inevitable controversy has at times been extreme and the Foundation has Jackson Wells Morris to thank for nursing us through some of the worst of it. We congratulate you on your success and value your continued friendship.

I have the highest regard for John Wells and Keith Jackson. Their strong support and advice during the establishment of the world's first telecommunications ombudsman scheme displayed imagination and first class capacities. Their combined insights into the political process and their broader understanding of the Australian community enable them to provide unique and special skills to deal with the very varied and complex public policy and marketing issues that are presented. Insightful, reliable and professional - the hallmarks of Jackson Wells Morris.

I have had a long association with Jackson Wells Morris and have great respect for its founding principals, Keith Jackson and John Wells. Together they have created a public relations company with a difference: a company that is analytical, strategic and high on the integrity register. My association with Keith goes back to ABC days and the first Jackson Wells Morris client relationship when I was a member of the Independent Panel on Intractable Waste. With due modesty I could claim that together we shifted the paradigms in managing environmental issues and community consultation. Keith and John are always available as a sounding board and their strategic thinking is valued.

On behalf of the 13,000 Financial Planning Association members, I would like to extend our appreciation to you and your team for your hard work and effort in assisting the FPA in achieving a positive outcome from the Federal Government on the issue of Alienation of Personal Services Income. The dedication and professionalism of [your staff] played a central role in the FPA conveying its concerns to relevant Federal Government Ministers such as the Prime Minister of Australia and the Minister for Small Business. As a result of these meetings and the coaching provided by your staff through the campaign, the FPA was able to secure a positive announcement from the Federal Treasurer.

Now that the dust has settled on the gaming tax issue, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you (John Wells) and the team at Jackson Wells Morris for your assistance over the past three years. One of our greatest challenges over these years has been to keep the issue alive, a feat that would not have been possible without the outstanding support of JWM. Your political and public relations advice, issues management, media management and creative input have assisted us greatly in keeping the cluibs' interest high and, ultimately, achieving a fair resolution. Please accept our appreciation of your expertise and energy.

No doubt the great success of the Jackson Wells team this past eight years can be attributed to their commitment to the success of their clients. Support for the Special Olympics - a pro bono partnership - was equally committed. Our partnership started with the National Games in Hobart (December 1998) and continued throughout the World Games in North Carolina (July 1999). As a result the Special Olympics movement has taken a positive step forward for which we are most grateful.
