Alex was appointed as an Account Executive at Jackson Wells in 2009. Previously, as a university student, he had completed several weeks work experience at the company.
He has worked on clients such as the Financial Planning Association, Dell and the Insurance Council of Australia. He worked to promote the launch of the biography of former Independent parliamentarian, John Hatton, by Ruth Richmond. The Stench in this Parliament received substantial media coverage, especially in NSW.
After completing the Higher School Certificate at Newington College in 2005, Alex began studying at the University of NSW, where he completed a BA in Media & Communications, majoring in English, and graduated with Distinction in 2009.
He has travelled widely and in 2003 received an American Field Service's scholarship to study in Beijing.
Alex enjoys playing cricket and rugby union, and is a member of the UNSW Cricket Club Committee. He edits the club's newsletter and helped establish its alumni society.
